About Me

I am a passionate design and innovation expert with extensive experience envisioning and delivering human-centered solutions.

I thrive on transforming ambiguous, complex challenges into actionable insights and delightful experiences that tangibly improve people's lives. I began my design career as a traditional industrial designer. My first design job was designing heart defibrillators, conducting human factors and usability testing on AED (automatic external defibrillators) for high-risk sudden cardiac arrest events. The impact of this early work helped me realize a particular affinity for developing products, experiences, and services using human-centered design, design research, and data-driven innovation. I love to bring together business goals and human needs to create excellent solutions.

My optimistic, creative, systems-thinking, and collaborative approach to complex problem-solving, as well as my ability to relate vision to daily tasks, are valuable assets.

My design and innovation toolbox is well-rounded. From drawing and making skills to research, strategy, visualization, and leadership, this allows me to select and apply the best methods and perspectives to my projects.

I have an excellent balance of EQ + IQ and seamlessly move in and out of each, weaving them through the entire research, development, and design process.

My leadership style is based on partnership and collaborative solution-finding, and I believe successful teams are built on trust, openness, inspiration, and shared goals.

With skill, intention, insight, and hard work, I strive to make happier humans through all of my work.
